Sheet Metal Fabricator

Workhorse Staffing are seeking experienced Sheetmetal Workers to join a well-established building products manufacturer, with multiple opportunities available.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling and repairing sheet metal products, flashings and structures used in industrial and construction applications.

Your duties will include:

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and work orders
  
• Operating sheet metal machinery, including guillotines, folders, slitters, shears, press brakes and punches
  
• Cutting, shaping and forming sheet metal components
  
• Assembling and joining metal components using welding equipment, rivets, bolts and other fastening methods
  
• Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet required specifications and tolerances
  
• Maintaining accurate production and quality control records
  
• Following workplace health and safety procedures and contributing to a safe working environment

ABOUT YOU:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Sheetmetal Worker
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  
• Experience operating sheet metal fabrication machinery and tools
  
• Strong attention to detail

The following will be highly regarded:

• A completed sheet metal apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
  
• Welding or additional metalworking certifications
  
• Gantry crane or overhead crane certification
  
• Experience with CAD software for sheet metal design
  
• Current First Aid certification
  
• Forklift licence
